It's all about location, locale and beer here. I hesitate to review as I'd like to be selfish and keep this part of Tokyo secret and away from tourists, but aren't we all one when existence is seen from a planetary perspective? Suffice to say, the beer is crafted and varied, and the ambiance is great to chill. The food is nothing special and only worthy if you worry about getting inebriated from the beer.
MoreThis cozy small wooden house isn't a beer hall as huge as the ones in Bavaria. They serve eight different kinds of craft beer, British and Continental style, and delicious moderately-priced food. I loved the Belgian-style wheat beer. The friendly staff speaks English well.Insider tipp: The grave of the last Shogun is only a few steps away.
MoreVery friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the Tanaka beer flight. My favourites were the Dry and Beer. This place serves some lovely food as well. English menu available if required. Easy to find and a must to visit to chill out.
MoreNice place to sit down after a long walk, and have something to eat and drink. We ate takoyaki and fried chicken strips. Had some very sweet sakura tea. Friendly English speaking staff and the waitress with beautiful kimono
MoreEnglish menu available. Beer was decent if not a little over priced. We spent about Β₯1400 for a flight of 4 beers (135mL each). The beer was flatter than I am used to, but tasted better than average. We didn't try the food but they had vegetarian options which is great to see in Japan. I wouldn't say it's a must stop, but it's cool if you're in the area.
MoreI had a great meal here. Try the yanaka beer tasting set, it's made near Mt Fuji. One of the servers, Kevin, was especially friendly and wonderful. Ask about the history of the place as well, it's a nice story. Overall, a must visit if you're in the area!
